This is one the newest theaters in Nizhny Novgorod, which will offer you neither The Government Inspector nor The Cherry Orchard. Instead, the actors and directors of the center like to experiment with the format, turning to modern playwrights, setting up theater laboratories and collaborating with independent theaters from all over Russia, with guest performers frequently coming over from other cities. The Center of Theater Arts is the first independent platform that brings together the chamber theaters of Nizhny Novgorod. Such theaters as the Small Theater, Kammerjunker or Andrei Yarlykov Studio Theater give their performances here. The unique format of the center and the transformable auditorium enable directors to put their most daring ideas and experiments to life. The center has its own Studio of Acting where anyone can have a go at the big stage.
