The atmosphere at the Ariel factory is festive all year round, but, of course, it is especially so on New Year’s Eve. It is an absolutely amazing place where New Year and Christmas tree decorations are made for all countries. There is something for both children and adults here. The guided tours (available in summer) will show you how New Year tree decorations are made; you will watch artists and glassblowers work, take part in a workshop, paint your own bauble, or take a walk through the Museum of the History of Nizhny Novgorod New Year Tree Decorations.
Make sure to take a photo next to the New Year tree with retro decorations that may still be found in Russian households coming down from older generations — cosmonauts, fir cones, Soviet young pioneers and clamp-on corn. You can buy a unique hand-painted Nutcracker or a set of New Year and Christmas tree decorations at the list price from the factory shop.
