The Gallery of Contemporary Art is a platform for experimentation by the local art community and for getting to know Russian and European artists. It was a tremendous coup for the gallery to take the hall in the historical building first serving as the merchant Fyodor Perepletchikov’s rental house and, later, Mayakovsky cinema theater, with its high ceilings and textured old stucco. If not for the modern art, then at least for the chic interior, you should definitely come here. The courtyard behind the Bezukhov restaurant, above which the FUTURO gallery sits, is also worth a visit. If the gate is open, you will enjoy a lot of different street art that people usually cannot see.
