The museum is located on the main street of Nizhny Novgorod in a three-story building, which is an architectural monument of the 19th century. The Toy Museum is on the first floor; its unique collection is put together by the artist Alexander Lavrov who has been collecting toys that children have played with over the last hundred years. This museum may be more appealing to adults, because here they can find things from their childhood: 'pioneer' train sets, kewpie dolls from the 1930s, New Year tree decorations from the Soviet times and much more.
