The building of the future Jupiter Concert Hall was built following the generic design in 1972 as a center for political propaganda. Its style is Soviet Brutalism. Later handed over to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the building has been the city's main concert venue since the early 1990s. It was renovated some time ago but the exterior did not change and even the pediment still keeps the bas-relief with the profiles of Marx, Engels and Lenin. The architects who worked on the Jupiter Concert Hall have kept its Soviet Constructivism style and the philosophy of the building, revamping the interior design only. The walls of the concert hall were decorated with acoustic panels to create the impression of a recording studio.
Today, the concert hall has a seating capacity of almost 1,500 people. This is now the main concert venue in Nizhny Novgorod; there are also two restaurants, Syrovarnya and Magadan.
