Another unique location in the Avtozavodsky District is the Serobusyginsky Quarter. This residential complex was named this way to honor the legendary forger Alexander Busygin from the Gorky Automobile Plant. Actually, he never lived here as his apartment was in an earlier-built yellow Empire Style house across the road.
This one-house quarter spans approximately 1,130 meters. Due to its immense size, the building sits on four streets: Loskutova Street, Motorny Lane, Oktyabra Avenue and Komsomolskaya Street.
This six-story building was constructed for the labor elites of the Gorky Automobile Plant, and the best employees got to live here.
The longest house in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, it comprises six buildings with 59 entrances and 450 apartments. The biggest apartment has eight rooms!
The quarter buildings alternate with beautiful Roman arches, a total of seven. Due to their different height, the echo in each of them sounds a bit different. The house has traditionally been painted gray.
