Tikhaya is a contemporary art center that emerged from the eponymous art workshop. Opened in 2015, it has since become a workroom for a dozen artists and a true center of gravity for locals and city visitors.

Here you can see artists working, get to know each other, see how various pieces of art are being made, and maybe even buy some contemporary art. The workroom is underpinned by self-organized resident artists and like-minded people who work together to develop the artistic environment in Nizhny Novgorod.

Today, Tikhaya is expanding its boundaries. It has become open to public, undergoing a symbolical transformation from a workroom into a studio with exhibition spaces, open storage, an archive and an art residency.
